Playground
A Symfony or Laravel project, in your browser
Try an idea, reproduce a bug, show code to a colleague: the project runs in the browser, with nothing to install and no account. A link is all it takes to share it.
-
Symfony playground
Controllers with #[Route], Twig templates and bin/console, on Symfony 8.
-
Laravel playground
Routes, Blade views and php artisan, on Laravel 13.
How it works
- Nothing to install. PHP runs in your browser, compiled to WebAssembly. The preview updates as you type.
- A link to share. The Share button creates an address that contains your code. Whoever opens it gets the project as it is.
- Your code stays with you. It travels in the link, after the #, which the server never receives. Your draft stays in this browser.
Frequently asked questions
How can I test PHP code online, with nothing to install?
Open the Symfony or Laravel playground: PHP 8.4 runs in your browser, compiled to WebAssembly. You edit the code and the preview updates, with no server, no Docker and no Composer.
Do I need an account?
No. The playground is free and open to everyone. Your draft is kept in your browser: you get it back when you return to the page.
How do I share my Symfony or Laravel code?
The Share button creates a link that contains your code. Whoever opens it gets the project as it is, can edit it and send you back their version: handy to show a bug, an idea or a solution.
Is my code sent to a server?
No. The code runs in your browser, and a shared link carries it after the #, a part of the address the browser never sends to the server. Nothing is stored on our side.
Which versions of Symfony and Laravel?
Symfony 8, with Twig and bin/console, and Laravel 13, with Blade and php artisan, on PHP 8.4. Both projects are full applications: controllers, routes, views, services.
